Alexa can’t give data for small websites, because very few people use their toolbar.
Maybe 1 in a thousand uses it.

So if your website has 5,000 visitor per month, this means only 5 Alexa tootlbar users, and that’s too few to give any meaningfull data.

I started using the Certified Site Metrics, which gives the actual measures stats (same as analytics).
It will help your ALexa rankings, if you have traffic, and your site is not for SEO or social marketing people.

The thirty-one bag at Bloggy Con was pretty cool – I use it all. the. time. But I totally agree with you on these! Especially the chip clip, coffee mug, plastic cup. And I never thought I’d say I do not want to bring another PENCIL into this house! Kids get those for free everywhere. We are up to our ears in pencils!!

My favorite swag was office supplies from 3M. I love me some sharpies and post-it notes!

I collect swag at conferences that I can use for PTO giveaways or teacher appreciation gifts throughout the year. Or as stocking stuffers for great-nieces/nephews.

My other favorite swag was bottles of wine.

Usually people want your list for a reason so I try to drill down to the reason. Then I will usually offer them the opportunity to guest post (most turn it down) or share with me information I include in my newsletter. (I have a newsletter for bloggers as well.) That way they can get the message across they wish to and I’m not violating my privacy policy.
